Diary - Summer 2009

Well it's official...summer is well and truly here - the fantastic weather over the bank holiday brought us our very first swarm of bees! It's been so exciting! We checked them in their new hive last week and they have been so very busy making comb and filling it with honey already. They are fascinating to watch (in a hat and veil!) - such amazingly little creatures.

We have had our first show of the year at Rookley village. The sun came out and the rain stayed away so a great day was had by all. Thanks to all our lovely customers who came to see us. Please check out our online events page for the details of our upcoming shows and we hope to see you soon.

Thank you for the positive feedback about our Limited Edition Vintage Style Wheatie Bag, so glad you liked it! We have tried out some new appliquéd designs too which have been really popular so hope to get them online soon.

A tip for the summer...don't forget to keep a spare Wheatie Bag chilled in the freezer, not only will it be great for headaches, migraines, toothache, sports-day sprains, burns, bites and bee-stings (!) but will also be great to cool you down on those fast approaching hot sunny days!
